Donatello (Donato di Niccolo di Betto Bardi; c. 1386 – December 13, 1466) was an Italian sculptor and painter. A commemorative 2 euro coin depicts Donatello David. Since 1956, the Statue of David has been the most influential film award in Italy, awarded by the Italian Film Academy.
The coin is packed in a blister. The outer ring of the coin features the 12 stars of the European Union flag.
